In Memoriam

2017

The Most Reverend Martin S. Boyle, STD

On February 24, A.D. 2017, The Most Reverend Martin E. Boyle, STD (Retired), went to be with the Lord he loved and served for many years in The Catholic Charismatic Church. He served our late Patriarch Michael as his Chaplain in Gorham, NH, for almost 18 years traveled with him around the world. In that effort he made many friends among both lay and clergy, all of whom will miss him.

Later, he served Bishop of the Diocese of Saint Matthias and was in residence at Saint Robert's Monastery in Enfield, CT. He had spent the last year at Parkway Pavilion Health Care Center where he was in charge of the Rosary group and Bible study, and he soon became the "Bishop of Parkway" At Christmas, looking the part, he played Santa Claus and became beloved to all the residents.

Though he never married, all with whom he came into contact sensed that the term "father" was not merely a clerical form, but a reflection of how they felt in his presence. He is survived by his sister, Anne Marie Boyle of Florida. We rejoice that his faith in and love for Jesus sustained him through his final illness and that he is now at peace. Please remember him in your prayers. Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei.

‡Augustine
Patriarch and Archbishop

2020

IV Patriarch Emeritus Augustine of the CCC and Archbishop of the Archdiocese of St. Mary

July 7, 1939 - February 14, 2020

On February 14, A.D. 2020, Patriarch Augustine "let slip the surly bonds of Earth" and went to be with Our Lord.  As he stands in the presence of Jesus, I am sure that he is hearing the words, "Well done though good and faithful servant."  He was the second longest serving Patriarch in the history of the CCC, during which time he extended the reach of the CCC to many of our fellow Christian communities.   He is survived by his family, particularly his son, John, and his grandchildren.  He lives on in our memory and in our prayers.  Requiem aeternum dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei.
